Question about BlueGT gloss mirror caps

Can anyone (100% sure) tell me if the BlueGT mirror caps are gloss ABS plastic, or painted plastic.

I ask becuse they scratch quite easy, and in a way that painted surfaces usually dont.

I'm quite sure they are plastic, but VW (As usual) are'nt able to confirm.

Hi,

I'm pretty sure that they are painted plastic. I had to order a new casing from VW and I was quoted £120!! I thought this was outrageous as all I'm playing for is a bit of plastic, but the guy said that it needed to be painted. In the end I ended up getting one myself and painting it myself!

I just checked ETKA and the mirror caps are not found in gloss black. They have to be painted.

Correct, even thou they are just gloss plastic.
Sadly they cant Be Bought from VW.
