Manual GTI is a little bit quicker than the DSG version. Below you have a comparison from the same yt channel:

Good vids, I think I can live with just the 0.5 sec difference to the manual, though it seems VW are being a bit sneaky saying they both do 0-62 in the same time as most reviews seem to show the manual as faster!

Just makes me want mine to hurry up and come now the more vids I watch with it being driven

I think tbh if you want your clutch to last beyond 5k then you'll find the manual will prefer you go for 6.7 as a preferred figure!

I've done a few runs with my mates laptop plugged in on some roads in Bovintion. The best I got was 6.24 but my average worked out around 6.4. The laptop stared itself and stopped on 62 so it's pretty spot on. Did do it again last week in the wet and could only manage 6.6 as the wheel spin was too much. My GTI is standard in performance mods. Next time I'll get a screen shot or a vid if it helps.

Did you solve the mystery of the dipped clutch?

No it went into vw and they couldn't tell me anything. They had it for 2 days, but not sure what they checked as the service adviser didn't seem too clued up on the workings of a car
