Specific LED bulb type required

Hey guys,
tried to back my car out the driveway at 0330 this morning and it was pitch black (no street lights) and that was with the reverse bulb in full working order. I tried putting in a red bodied cree led bulb in to replace it but it made my bulb warning light up on the dash. From browsing on here i recall someone saying a specific type of LED bulb is required (ba15s or something) and also saw links to a full led kit that people have recommended but i cannot seem to find them now.

Can anyone tell me a specific super bright LED bulb that works very well for reverse without errors etc? i have bog standard headlights if that makes a difference.

the bau15s is just a fitting type. for most LEDs you need to do an edit in the on-board computer module, to disable the light bulb warning.

Ah ok, is there an alternative brighter replacement that doesn't need re programming etc?
