BlueGT vs Golf GT 1.4 tsi vs 1.0 r-line

anyone have any opinions between the 3?

the blueGT and golf share the same basic engine I know that, with it having around a 1 second quicker 0-60
but the golf has a better interior, with a more basic exterior, the bluegt having less on looks but more in power
then the r-line i threw in because it's pretty

Well, looks-wise, it's your own choice. I personally like the R-Line looks very much.
The 1.0 TSI engine cranks out around 110 hp nowadays, so it's not slow by any means.

If you're looking for new, than you can take the 1.0TSI into account. But that engine hasn't been on the market that long, but the 1.4TSI (EA888) has been for about 3 years now.
So there are plenty of used ones, I guess.

Between the Polo and the Golf, I never felt like the Polo was less exciting than the golf on the inside. The new discovery navigation systems are pretty neat, that's for sure.
But I don't like all the glossy 'smart' stuff in the Golf. Some gimmicks are nice, for sure. Like all the small lights in the door trim, keyless entry. But to be fair, the Golf looks a bit like it's trying too hard.
The Polo is more modest.

But overall I think it's a matter of taste, and thats very subjective.

Another way to split this group up might be, "do you want or need the bigger Golf sized car?" - some people are "bigger" made and so fit into a Golf sized car better than a Polo sized car.
For instance, we normally only have two cars in our household, a smaller one (Polo 1.2TSI 110PS SEL 5 door) for shorter journeys and into town use, and a bigger one (Audi S4 3.0TFSI 333PS saloon) for longer journeys. Now, if we only had one car, it would make a lot of sense to have maybe a Golf sized car for all types of journeys.

generally it's going for around 10 miles, odd bit 20 (small country) but has been used for long journeys too. I think the polo is a great sized car for 2, but anymore and it does struggle. I'm just cautious of the 1.0 litre turbo engine coming from a 1.4 n/a. The interior of the golf really is something else, but it does try too hard on the outside and doesn't pull it off hence why I like the polo on the outside, it's just most are lacking on the inside such as heated seats, multi-function steering wheel etc

If you are buying new then what is the issue, you just get a factory build to your spec, if you are buying second hand, I'd think that your choice will be severely limited for at least some of the cars you've stated.

NI = Gulfstream = not much need for winter pack? (says someone living at the other, and sometimes extremely cold side of the country at 200 meters above sea level - with winter pack!)

Haha Edinburgh, we've got similar enough weather but you do have it worse :p, and besides we all want as high spec for as low money as we can haha
