Yes, this is true. I have the idea it will also work with BCM High or Max from Polo/T5 (so the 7H0 BCM) OEM style. BCM medium or low, not so much. So you'll need a BCM ending in 089 or 090. (Polo 6R with Xenon, Bluemotion or BlueGT)

Yes, but bear in mind that vw models with factory shark antenna also have other systems to amplify the signal reception.

Are needed the same systems like for bi-xenon headlights 6R, but Led headlights 6C are more expensive.

In my humble opinion bixenon headlights for vw polo 6R are a bit better regarding the possibilities offered...The static cornering lights within xenon headlights for vw polo 6R make a difference.

It's a shame that bixenon headlights 6R not have the dinamic cornering light. :) Nor Led headlights 6C.

Hi mab6680,
I'm sorry not having replied in the other topic. I did not realize. My apologies.

I send you a PM with my email. You have to send to my email a recent VCDS Autoscan of your 6R. (with last mod, bixenon headlights and BCM)

Please tell me if the DRLs and parking lights in Led module are working correctly, also the static cornering lights within of xenon headlights, and also the fog lamps.

What lamp models for license plate have installed? Original Led tech?

The brightness is very comparable between the OEM LED and OEM xenon.
For the feeling, there is not much difference between them.

The long story:
Officially, the xenons are rated somewhere at 2400 lumens I believe. The LEDs are below 2000 lumens, so the xenons produce about 20% more light.
(officially, the LED headlights don't even require AFS or headlight washers in most countries).
Part of this difference in lumens is the color of the light. The LED headlights produce very white light (somewhere around 5000k), whereas the xenons have clear yellow part (4300k).
The yellow is better for visibility, since the human eye is better at 'seeing' yellow light. The lumen scale is corrected for the sensitivity of the human eye.

The light pattern of the xenons is also different from the LED headlights.

Xenon:

(this is not Polo, but for reference)

LED:

(again, not polo but reference)

This difference is because the xenons have projector lenses and the LED headlights are with a reflector lens, like halogen.

A big advantage is the static cornering lights in the 6R bi-xenon.
Are the LED headlights worth double the price, if you retrofit them? No. They hardly give any extra light (if any) But they still look sexy

Currently many people don't like it when someone with LED headlights drives behind them. I'm not sure why, but i guess they can be blinding.
Also, if you overtake someone, the right part of the beam can be very blinding for the person you overtake.
My own headlights are set at an inclination of -1%, as they should and with AFS system, and still people flash at me in opposite traffic and also when I overtake.
Maybe too bright or still blinding? I don't know but it's something to take into account.

iichel, many thanks for explanations.

Therefore, the best would be the LED headlights with projector lenses like VW T6, or:

... much better

Thank you.

24 faults in autoscan  , I think is a new world record ... (just a kidding) ... but 24 faults need some time for their solution, I will help you, but you must have patience. Before installing the wiring for automatic lights you/we have to solve all these faults.

I guess Kufatec instructions were not clear to you. :? ... do not worry, I've already lived this story many times.

Yes, absolutely. I have many wishes for updated headlights:
Dynamic cornering
LED indicators
Lenses
Double low beam

On the passat for example, one can choose between headlights with reflectors only and lenses:

LED low, reflector:

LED low, DRL:

LED high, lenses:

The LEDs are a good improvement over the standard halogen headlights, even though the 6C Halogen headlights have a good look and have excellent lighting from themselves.
