Hi guys,
I am planning to changing my brake calipers for my polo 6n2 tdi. The difference between the front brakes of the tdi and gti is that the brake discs on the tdi is 20mm thick whereas the gti has a thickness of 25mm. They both have the same diameter of 256mm on the brake discs.
I wanted to know, if I were to purchase a front set of gti calipers, would it be a straight swap or would I need to change anything else besides the brake pads and discs? Like would I need to change any of the brake shoes etc?
Thanks in advance

The difference is minimal between the TDi and GTI brakes on a performance level. GTI is ventilated
If you want any sort of upgrade, do the G60 brake upgrade. Much better value for money

Isn't the g60 bigger brakes? I'm just worried that it might not fit inside my alloy wheels. I've got 15 inch polo Gti split rimsalexperkins wrote:The difference is minimal between the TDi and GTI brakes on a performance level. GTI is ventilated

G60s fit fine behind the 15" GTI split rims. Ran them on mine for ages
