Hi, would anyone know the part number of the exhaust gas temperature sensor for vw 6r 2012 1.2 TDI?
I have attached a pic for reference.
My car goes into limp mode due to this and it happens unexpectedly and when it wants to.. If anyone knows could you please write it down on here.
It would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Alex,
Thanks for your reply. Are you sure?
VCDS is saying Sensor 3.
Can you confirm?
Thanks

3 is after the DPF which is what that part number is.
I would strongly recommend confirming that part number against your local VW dealer though.

Re: Polo 6R exhaust temperature sensor
Hi Habib, I also get what could be called limp mode in my 1.6 Tdi, and VW also told me it's caused by the emissions sensor (03L 906 088HL).habib_123 wrote:My car goes into limp mode due to this and it happens unexpectedly and when it wants to..
The part is bloody expensive though, so I don't want to change it if it isn't the actual problem...
Can you confirm if this is the same limp, and if you maybe sorted it out? Cheers
Unstable, "chugging" idling
Very high fuel consumption on idle (1.2 to 2 l/h instead of the usual 0.3)
Noisy and inconsistent power delivery

Hi NagelFred,
I worked out that my fuel sensor cable was fried in the engine bay as this had caused the car going in limp mode (wouldn't go past 2750 rpm and 60 mph). In VCDS, Engine I had Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor and something to do with the fuel sensor error codes. Once I had replaced the two thin fuel sensor cables, cleared fault codes and tested it for a few days the limp mode went away. Around two weeks after, I had the garage change the exhaust gas temperature sensor. Once changed, cleared the error in VCDS and the error code went away.......Until around a week later it came back with the same error in VCDS. I'm not sure if the garage had changed the wrong sensor.....or the new sensor got ruined aswell.
Until this day I still have this same issue...I haven't fixed it yet. (I use the car every day as a daily)
But I hope it has helped you out!
