Hi everyone,
I have a REALLY odd issue with my polo window, it goes as such.
My passenger electric window is acting up, basically it works fine when using the drivers side controls but the passenger side controls work in a wierd way. The switch obviously has two outputs UP and DOWN, but when pressing either the window only goes up. To make things even more annoying its temperamental when going up so it will start and stop, jolting its way to the top while the button is held down.
I have already swapped the switch with a replacement one and nothing changed. Could the wires of broke as they meet the connecting pins, where they are crimped?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Passenger Window Works Intermittently
Could be a broken wire in the rubber bellow between the door and the car. Not unusual on these

Re: Passenger Window Works Intermittently
I need help!!!
My passenger window will work fine when using the passenger switch but when using the driver side it will work every now and then. I have searched all over the Internet and looked at you tube videos but cannot find anything. I've replaced the driver switch because I thought it might be something to do without however i still have the same problem. I've taken the door panels and looked at the wires but I just can't find anything.
Anybody have any suggestions it would be much appreciated.

Check the wires more carefully. The wires you need to check arent behind the door panel - they are in between the door and the body.

Re: Passenger Window Works Intermittently
I have been struggling for 7 months on and off without success to solve the following problem: polo 9N3 2007 4 door hatchback. Drivers door and window controls will not operate either side windows nor will key in drivers door control central locking or open and close Windows as should happen.
Passenger side door key operates all doors, boot, petrol flap, but does not raise or lower window. Passenger window switch operates that window but only after opening and closing passenger door with key. However, after driving a little the passenger window stops working. Works again after operating door with key. The interior light works normally, suggesting that the CCM is getting messages from both doors that they are open or closed. That central locking works from passenger door key also suggests CCM is responding and sending signals round CAN wiring to all controlled modules, including the drivers latch. The driver door lock unlock switch always functions as do the mirror adjusters.
After stripping out and cleaning every connector from door pillars to components in doors I.E. Door lock latch module, window motor and its control box, switches etc the entire system has started to work. This has happened twice now over several sessions over months to sort it out. But after a couple of hours without even driving the car windows etc fail again.
I have duplicate spare door latches, window motor with its control circuit AND a second CCM. Swapping any of these makes no difference to the described problem. So I do not think the components are faulty as when it has worked it has been with different combinations of thes parts. I have checked all the microswitches and the solder joints in the lock modules I have and all is sound, and when system works occasionally it has been with either of my two latches fitted...
When cleaning connectors I have checked through the wiring with a meter to see that there are no wiring faults. I have taken out the entire door wiring loom and tested it, Twice at least, wire by wire. I have removed and cleaned all all CCM connections and checked tightness of female connections with a needle. The problem up is the same with either of the CCMs fitted - the original and another with same part number, which works fine with radio and either has been fitted when system has decided to work...for a while. So if CCMs are at fault they exhibit identical faults. BTW a HIGH QUALITY VAG reader showed no faults - appeared not even to recognise CCM. Is that significant?
That the system recovers sometimes after disconnecting and cleaning makes me wonder if there is some learning process by the CCM (or even the ECU), going on that fails after some time for some reason. Does anyone have any ideas?
