Polo 2015 Polo GTI Kenwood MIB System Issue

Hi I have a 2015 Polo GTI fitted with the Kenwood MIB system sat nav upgrade. I had the unit fitted by VW after I bought the car and just wondered if I have to pay extra for traffic information?

Please see screen shots below. It is directing me to Kenwood to purchase a activation code??? I purchased the unit from one VW dealer and had a different dealer fit the unit. I'm wondering whether something has happened during the fitting process with the traffic receiver??

You have to call Garmin to activate this.

Had to do mine last week after it was fitted.
Phone number is +44 808 238 0000

Make sure you tell them it's a Kenwood VW unit otherwise they will pass you round!

Also, just on this there is no charge for the code just give them the receiver ID and it should activate for life

Thanks I will call them tomorrow. I would have thought the VW dealer should have done this!!!

How do I go around updating the unit without removing the glove box everytime? I think I will trail a lead from the unit if someone could advise what lead is required?
