looks cheap for around £30 but is it cheap because it's poor quality/ fit?

It's not cheap, it's only standard OEM spoiler from Polo 6R (no GTI/R-Line/BlueGT).
You have Polo BlueGT, so if you want additional front lip, you need to buy something like that:

Ah - thought it was aftermarket as it looks like it sticks out further than the bumper
I was looking at the Triples spoiler as i saw on another members post he had the Maxton fitted which cracked then changed to the Triple which he said was much better
