Monthly service plan invoices from VWFS

I'm receiving monthly paper invoices through the post from VWFS for my service plan direct debit payments. In my opinion, this is a complete waste of money and paper by VW. I know what my monthly payment is, and it shouldn't change during the duration of the service plan payment period, so why do VWFS feel the need to tell me the same thing each month?

Is anyone else who took out a service plan getting these?

In light of dieselgate, I would have thought VW would be looking for ways to reduce costs, not create additional unnecessary costs, which could be significant if everyone paying for their service plan monthly is getting these.
