I'm trying to fit a alpine KTP-445 to the oem stereo
i tried to remove the stereo but couldn't get it out so looked at removing the whole glove box
now i think i've taken all the screws out but it still seems stuck in the bottom left corner.
has anyone removed it before or got the procedure of how to remove it?

it's the same as every 6r and 6c. did you get the screw at the bottom, near the door?

Really interested to see what you think this sounds like once done. If it brings a good improvement, can you document how you did it, and which bits you used? I think the stereo is the biggest let-down in this car.Dink wrote:I'm trying to fit a alpine KTP-445 to the oem stereo

Sounds really interesting. I was thinking of going with the Focals if the amp helps, but any change of the kit is interesting to see if it helps.Dink wrote:i'm going to see how it works out with the oem speakers (my 9n3 sounded loads better)Penarth Blues wrote:

I've got an old 9N3 1.4 which is slow as hell but the speakers are excellent and it's just a completely different audio proposition to the crap speakers in the GTi
