Just dropped the car off for its first service, when checking it in they mentioned that there is currently a recall for the control module.
It supposedly has something to do with the battery, does anyone know anything further about this or heard of it before?

My wife's Golf SV has just had this recall done it went in for a radio issue and they said they found this recall needed doing aswell.
My Blue GT is going on for its first service in the next few weeks so I assume now from reading your post it will need doing on my car aswell.
The guy at vw told me it has been found that the body control module draws too much power from the battery and is corrected with a software update.

Just to update this, the recall is "24CP" I spoke to the service advisor who let me know that it is indeed to do with excessive battery drain from the BCM, like Chrisshorter says it is corrected with this software update.
I hadn't noticed any issues with battery draining etc, would assume it's more on the side of caution than anything else.
