Polo 6R GTI modifications questions
Hello, i have been a proud Polo GTI owner for the pass two years now.
i finally thinking to do a few things to it as im thinking to keep the car now and maybe keep it till it dies.
My question is, If i remap the car will the gearbox hang on ? i dont really want expensive repair bills, as the car been good to me so far.
any recommend for induction kit or dump valve ?
I recently got the resonator cut out and i dont know why i didnt do it sooner! ( car was in warranty )
Thank you guys!

ECS 50mm stubby antenna.

GFB DV+

Coming Home Lights

I fitted self-adhesive foam strips to seal the gaps between the front and rear doors.

I activated the driving school function on the radio to display true/realtime speed while driving.

It also displays the active indicator on the screen.

I fitted a set of OEM satin black mirror caps.

I fitted a GUD (AG 1509) (Ford Focus ST) air filter together with the E-Tuners heatshield.

I covered the bottom and the left side of the heatshield with aluminium foil tape.

I made a cold air dam from the plastic of a toolbox tray and fitted it behind the front grill to allow more cold air to enter the air intake.

Bonnet shock installed.

Fitted the R8 coils(06E905115E) from VAG Café.

R8 Coil wiring:
Pin 1: Red/Grey
Pin 2: Brown/Yellow
Pin 3: Purple (thin wire)
Pin 4: Brown
1.4TSI Stock Coil wiring:
Pin 1: Brown
Pin 2: Brown/Yellow
Pin 3: Red/Grey
Pin 4: Purple (thin wire)
I used a metal strip from an old wiperblade to make a terminal tool to remove the female terminals from the terminal housings.

The purple plastic retainer needs to be removed first.

The terminal removal tool needs to be pushed in till a click is heard, then the terminal wire can be easily pulled out.

Stage 2 software loaded.

I replaced the OE sump plug with an ECS magnetic sump plug.

Dyno'd 156.6fwkW & 297Nm with 95 octane in the tank.

Re: Polo 6R GTI modifications questions
Some settings are hidden(not documented in VCDS). The binary coding needs to be changed to activate hidden settings.smelliot wrote:POLO-SA wrote:I have a VCDS cable.smelliot wrote: Im trying to activate cornering lights and other mods did you do these you self or do you have to have software to activate these functions

Re: Polo 6R GTI modifications questions
Is the yellow Lamin-X fog light cover a custom job? I don't see them listed on their website for the Polo 6R GTi?
Re: Polo 6R GTI modifications questions
I cut and applied the Lamin-X myself.Olivier wrote:Is the yellow Lamin-X fog light cover a custom job? I don't see them listed on their website for the Polo 6R GTi?
