6R Exhaust

Post by Bouzyk6R »

Hi guys,

Just bought a 2013 Polo 6R 1.2TSI at 18 and want to get into modifying it a bit, thought this forum was the best place to ask :)

Anyone know of any manufacturers that make valved/valvetronic exhaust systems for my Polo? Exhausting that, does anyone recommend any normal exhaust systems?

Looking for a subtle/sporty exhaust note, hence why I want a valved exhaust as its so easy to switch between loud and stock

Thanks!

Sorry, don't know the answer to your question. However, as you're a young driver, it would be worth checking with your insurer first before making any mods to see what their attitude is towards modifications and how much they're likely to increase your premium by.

Some insurers are more 'mod-friendly' than others, some don't like mods at all, so always best to check before you make any changes to ensure a) your insurer will accept the modifications and continue to cover you b) any increase in premium isn't going to be too costly.

I've already checked with my insurance company and they allow an aftermarket exhaust system on my policy, I wouldn't have bothered looking if it would have voided my insurance but thanks for the concern.
