Engine CGPA/CGPB differences

Post by n3o »

Hi,
this is my first post so welcome :)
I'm a happy owner of Polo 6R 2010 with 1.2 engine, code CGPB - 60KM. And I'm looking from long time for "upgrade" to CGPA engine which has 10KM more.
Details: http://workshop-manuals.com/volkswagen/ ... ne_number/
Does anyone have information where is a difference between those two engines? I think that +10KM in so light car will be visible.

I have verified almost all parts in ETKA however without success, only difference which I see is ECU for engine.
And because ECU is coded to specific vehicle I can't just buy CGPA one and replace.

I have same conclusions after studying ETKA parts. :)
Maybe somebody have tried to tune/change software in ECU for non TSI/TDI engines (without turbocharger)?

I don't know if I should search for CGPA ECU and tried to code it for my car OR tried to "chip tune" my current ECU...
