Insurance discount for uk polo club members

Post by helloimjammie »

Hi there

Does anyone know of any insurance companies that will offer a discount for being a member on here?

Just got renewal through and they want an extra £52 a year -.-

Also wanting to add lowering springs in the new year and seem to be getting really high quotes now.

Just want explore other options. Thanks in advance

As a general rule, motor insurers would usually only consider discounting their standard premiums for features that improve the risk to be insured - e.g. fitting a tracker / dash cam etc. Being a member of a forum won't be seen by most insurers as a risk improvement measure.

If you're now thinking of modifying your car, probsbly worth doing a Google search to find an insurance broker that specialises in modified /high performance vehicles, as they may have special arrangements in place with mod-friendly insurers. This isn't a guarantee of a lower premium though.

Thanks @SRGTD I have known some insurers (not high street branded) to offer a discount to forum members on previous cars just didn't know if this one had any that was all :)

So far I have been in touch with adrian flux and brentacre still waiting for brentacre to get in to touch but adrian flux have already beaten my lowest from confused.com by nearly £250 on an annual premium.

I'll carry on looking around see what I can find
