Polo Show Evaluations

Post by M@Turner »

I'll be the first to start the topic of what we thought to the show.

I'll start with the convoy down.
This was a wicked idea by Metz and Madmatt, but getting split up into two convoys of 3, after only 2 minutes wasn't a good start. Eventually when we all joined up again, the convoy lasted a little longer, but a couple of us wanted to put our foot down a bit so we left the others (sorry guys)

When we arrived there
I arrived just after lunch along with dubpolo, and i was really impressed with the turn out. Our stand looked really good, and everyone was friendly and quick to introduce themselves.

What we did during Saturday
After we'd set up our tents the drinking began. We also went and had a look at the other stands, but i felt priviledged to be part of the best stand. After this we then drunk some more before starting up the bbq. Compliments to the chef Chris (Cyhliu) After feeding our belly's more booze was consumed which carried on through the night. Around 10.40 a few of us decided to go to the onsite pub, where Chris (CBurns) decided to chat up every female there. After being turned down by every female, we decide to go on a walk around the fun fair. The fun fair became very interesting when a group of about 20 chavs decided one of us had called there leader gay. CBurns did a good job of making them realise they'd got the wrong guys, but Andy (dubpolo) aka Rambo decided he'd let them know how he felt. With his chest puffed out, the words, "if you was where i live, you'd all be dead" came out of his mouth. Probably not the best of things to say when we could hardly even see straight, let alone punch straight. At this point we decided to walk away and drink some more beer at the stand. After sitting around and chatting for a bit we went to bed.

Sunday morning
This pretty much consisted of sobering up before our drive home. :(

I would like to thank everyone who help organise this event, and everone for making my first meet very memerable. :)
Cheers guys and i hope to see you all again soon.[/i]

[Someone's comment:] "Erm, isn't that fire getting a bit big, Chris?"

[Someone else's comment:] "Ahh don't worry about it, he's a fireman."

[Chris's comment, fleeing the scenen:] "That's why I'm running away!"

I don't think he would have been aggressive at all, if it wasn't for the fact that we kept taking the p*** out of him for having a poo GTi.

NO air con
NO alarm
No CL
NO red door inserts
NO cd changer (until he added one)

I am envious of his BMC though  . It makes a lovely sound.
