HELP NEEDED!! Rear fog light retrofit Polo GTI 6R

Hello guys. My name is Roberto, this is my first post, I'm Mexican and own a Polo GTI 6r 2014 , I know in Europe most cars including Polo's have rear fog lights but mine has not come in that way .

I was wondering if this retrofit could work also for my car, I really love the rear fog light, not only for euro style but for visibility and to annoy tail chasers

please help, any advice will be appreciated

Hola Roberto. Welcome!
Autoscan VCDS?... and some pics from your GTI (interior/exterior).

Depending on your BCM model there are two ways to connect the rear fog light.
It is also necessary an additional wire to connect to the instrument panel. (warning rear fog light)

My GTI came with xenon and cornering lamps from factory



BCM PN is 7H0937090B



As I mentioned it doesn't have the wire in the cavity 9 of the light switch



These are the wires on the driver's tail light (Left hand drive)



now I know I need to add the trigger wire from the light switch to BCM but I'm not quite sure what is next? Do I need to relocate the wire I'm actually using for reverse light bulb on left tail light at BCM pin or I need to do another kind of wiring

Nope! It's from the passenger side (right side). (LHD)

Do you have VCDS?

It is necessary to make several adaptations in the wiring. (very easy)

Also take pictures of your original tail lights and instrument cluster.... etc.

but I have the feeling that you are not going to change your original rear tail light...

I think that is the easiest and cheapest solution. I'm going to do the wiring and replace the reverse light bulb.

Sorry I missunderstood the proposal, I think i will not replace my taillight, I will only do the wiring and replace the white bulb by a red one.

IMHO I think is not a good solution. Maybe I'm wrong.

Done, I also activated the speed dependant wipers and switched the XDS to strong even though I haven't make a test yet.

what byte should I look for the tail lights configuration? I could not find it
