Mk5 VW Rear Spoiler

On Thursday I bought a rear spoiler from Lookers VW in Middlesbrough, official Volkswagen part. The cost was Â£139.01

Thats double what I expected it to be. Can anyone confirm this as the right price. I have the part number if needed.

Â£135 + VAT I was quoted from VAG but you can pick them up new from as little as Â£35ish!! There was a guy on ebay recently selling several. I bought one from him. I can put you in touch with him if you can take the spoiler back for a refund.

I think I'll just stick with the one I've got. Just wanted to make sure Lookers hadn't decided to rip me off.

Just when I thought it couldnt get any more expensive, I rang Mill VW in Darlington to ask about painting and fitting just out of interest.

They quoted me Â£325 to paint and fit the rear spoiler. Which confirms me idea to get it painted by a local bodyshop, and fit it myself.
