Fuse locations on 1.2 TSI DSG

Post by dylan »

Hi,
I wonder if any one can help me.

My screen washers have stopped working (no pump sound) Does any one know the fuse location/number for the washer pump? For some reason half the fuses are not listed in the hand book.

Many thanks,

Dylan

Sorry I can't help, but I have noticed that and have meant to take VW up on their offer to "contact your local dealer" - I think that I have generated the full compliment of fuse, where they are located, type and rating - VW really do need to try a lot more, there is no excuse for delivering cars with comments like "contact your local dealer" over something as simple as a fuse layout/function chart!

Edit:- Oh, and welcome to this forum!

My plan is to drop back my local dealer sometime, hand over my printed out sheets of fuses used/fitted to my wife's car, and request that they populate it with the missing details and email it back to me when it is completed! I don't expect to get very far with that idea, but if I don't try I will not get.

Mine is 1.2dsg 77kw. Here's my fuse layout. Windscreen wiper should be fuse no 47

Somehow I have the feeling we're talking about a 6C 1.2 TSI Blue Motion... Maybe the TS can clarify the model year of the car

Thanks for all the feed back.

I think this is the model:

The vehicle type is described as: Polo 1.2. BMT COMFO
66 KW D7F

It was registered Sept. 2014

If this isn't the model type, how do I find it from my paperwork?

Once again, Many thanks.

Its within the vin number. But if 2014, it shud be 6R. Coz 6C is from 2015.

Hmmm, The Vin number contains 6c, but I'm sure the car was registered 2014...

the 0 of your light switch is it located at top dead centre '12 o'clock' or more at '11 o'clock'?

VW started taking orders in the UK for the 6c in April 2014, and first deliveries were expected in July 2014 (see bottom of article on VW website at the link below). Therefore, it is highly likely that if the OP's car was registered in Sept 2014 that it's a 6c and not a 6r. Visually, if it's got the mk7 Golf style infotainment unit and there are a total of nine switches / blanks (the 6r has seven) above the infotainment unit for functions such as heated rear window, ESC, stop start, heated seats etc., then the OP's car will be a facelift 6c Polo.

Thanks,

The '0' is at the twelve O clock position.

I've had another look at the fuse box and, unfortunately, it doesn't match the one illustrated above (there's no fuse no. 47).

I'm thinking of working through them all to see if any have obviously blown. Does any one know if it would be a set ampage?

Thanks again,

Dylan

you might want to check out fuse 23 (7.5A) or 31 (5A) on the fuse holder below the steering wheel

Hi

I've had the exact same problem with my car twice now where the jets stop working and the motor doesn't make a sound. Mines a 1.2 tsi blue motion.

The correct fuse is number 17. It's on the very far right in the middle.

Hope this helps.
