Unlocking my Polo.

Post by CGreen98 »

Hi Everyone,
Just a little niggle but was wondering hopefully knows how to change this setting.

When I unlock the car from the key only the drivers door unlocks, and i have to double tap to unlock all the doors. However now my key is nearly 7 years old it's a bit dodgy and can take sometimes 5 presses to unlock all the doors successfully... With my dads BMW I could go into the iDrive and change this setting, is there any way to do this with the Polo so all the doors unlock on one press of a button?

Thanks
Cam

There is a way to change that, well on current Polos, you should find that option in the MMI - maybe in earlier cars you would need to ask a dealer or use VCDS or Carista to make that change.

You'll find it under

Car > Setup > Opening and closing
Change it from Single Door to All Doors

I have the basic MMI I think, it's a SEL model but doesn't do much but show speed, mpg, trip times etc... I can just use buttons on the end of the wiper stalk.

I'm pretty sure it's a Polo 6R, not the facelifted 6C.

You can change this in VCDS
