Nimbus or Pepper Grey

My Polo colour is Nimbus Grey which I understand is also called Pepper grey and the code for this is apparently LD7R
Looking at the sticker in the handbook and boot my paint spec is LD7RL.
What is the meaning of the extra letter (L) ...........are there any sites where I can check this out I've not had much success on the internet so far.

I have checked the code against ETKA and your car is Pepper Grey by VW's official designation. Nimbus grey is a cross code name for it

The correct code is LD7R
