Haven't got vagcom yet, can you turn the canbus error of with vagcom?
Perhaps one of the LED bulbs is faulty. Have you tried the one which works in the other side to see if one rear light assembly is causing the error code?
Alternatively, the ballast of the 2 LEDs combined may not be enough to prevent the error (whereas one LED plus one filament bulb provide just enough resistance to prevent the error code). Might be worth trying a different type of LED. See my reversing lights topic for the ones I used https://www.uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=69450. Also from HIDs Direct.

That's where I purchased them from hids direct tried swapping them over but it's just the same

It's working with 1 brake led in but as soon as I change the other 1 the fault comes on but it's ok with just the 1 led in either side
Looking at your photos I'm sure mine is a different brand to yours, and might have a different ballast. Don't know whether HIDS Direct have sufficient info to advise resistances on the different types of LED they import to help in your choice.
You're welcome to try my spare if you're nearby (Darlington). If that works without error while one of your current LEDs is in the other side then you'll need a pair of the type I used.

as the way they get around the can-bus is they put a little resistor across the supply, but they are always under sized and get VERY hot.
Just been to a garage who has vagcom they said they can switch the error of but it will come back on when you restart the car is this true? He said it's constantly checking the system so you cant permanently switch it off
peter_dk25 wrote:No, it is not true.
You can choose which bulbs you want the system to check.
It is done by using VCDS - 09 - long coding......
So Peter can you knock all the canbus of so I could change every bulb on the car to led and no warning light will come on

On the new brain you can code every light no problem but not from long coding you need to code over adaptation [emoji106] what Peter wrote is not long coding its adaptation
