6C GTI Front Grill Removal

Hi guys,

Struggling to remove the honeycomb 6c GTI grill. Have removed the two torx screws at the top and popped out the top tabs. i take it there are tabs at the bottom that also need to be popped out? Cant find any tutorials online for this.

Not the 6c, but the 6r does have 6 fixing tabs along the bottom edge of the grille and there's a video on YouTube showing how to remove it. I'm assuming the 6c is the same?

As you've removed the top fixings, presumably you can pull the grille forward to see if there are the same type of fixing tabs on the bottom as there are on the 6r?

The tabs along the bottom cant be accessed like the video as one of the horizontal bars within the grill makes it inaccessible. Where you would slide the panel under is closed off pretty much. Seems so awkward compared to other vw's.
