So...This just happened :/
My car was parked outside my house and its been snowing a bit and it just started raining yesterday. When snow and rain come together it makes blocks of ice and starts sliding down off the roofs. So yeah this is the outcome , and the worst part the insurance company wont cover it!!!

Ouch!
Although the bonnet / hood dent is quite large, from the photo it looks as if the paint isn't damaged, in which case Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) might be an option. Do you have PDR in Iceland? A skilled PDR operative could probably remove that, and it should be considerably cheaper than a new hood with the associated painting costs.
Check out some of the PDR videos on YouTube to get an idea of the types of damage that can be repaired using this method. Here's one (there are many more you can view);

Amazed by that paintless repair. I'd have thought that the metal would have stretched when first damaged preventing a perfect repair.
haflidi3 - does your insurance not cover for windscreen replacement (perhaps with a small excess to pay)?

That is a bit annoying, means that you need to take care where you park outside in winter? Do the buildings in Iceland not have boards on the edge of the roofs to stop that happening, it could have be a lot worse, it could have landed on you, and if that had happening, I don't think that you would have been in a good enough physical state to tell us about it.
I do remember at work once, when a faulty phase separator valve on a liquid nitrogen main line caused a HUGE build up of ice to form, someone, who should have known better, broke it free with a hammer - and it slide down the roof gently and landed on a car parked below, but it did not do as much damage as that - still it did cause a bit of excitement!
