I have recently purchased some genuine OEM plastic trim from an SE DESIGN to replace my plain matt black trim from the factory. I presumed that removing the current trim would be a very easy job although having begun trying, I am struggling...! I know that you need to remove the trim around the infotainment display first as that partially holds the others in and I can see two slits beneath which I thought might be the place to begin. I don't have removal tools although other forums suggest you don't really need them. I've been using a flathead screw driver covered in cloth not to scratch anything. I can't really find any tutorials for the 6C and the ones for the 6R make it look really easy which i'm not finding!
Getting to the point...
Is it just me being pathetic? Do I need removal tools? Has anyone else removed the faceplate on a 6C and know where to start?! Let me know - I'm probably doing something very wrong/stupid!

start at the bottom
there will be two rectangular holes, about the size of your car key (metal part). i always use the car key to remove it...

So I was able to remove these two no problem although I struggled to find the correct area to pry off the trim around the vents - this comes off with the button unit right? Any help for that panel would be much appreciated!

Thank you - so there's clips at the top and sides and then the panel of button comes off from the bottom too...
