Sound Deadening Advice

hi
i have a mk4 and a sub but all i can hear is shaking when im driving,completly spoils the sound, i get out the car and all i can hear is shaking too lol, i cant seem to locate the source as many things shake

just wondering if any other mk4 owners have used the stuff and where they applied it and what brand/type they used.

Same problemo.

The shaking isn't a problem... its a side-affect.

What I dont like is rattles or "noise" I got that in the rear mirror, damn annoying.

rattle is likely to be either the rear wiper motor, boot lock linkage, boot handle or number plate (depending on where it is on the car and whether is fixed with screws or pads...)

i had the inner tailgate cover off on my ol ibiza and it was the 'rod' linkage for the boot lock shaking... no real way to solve this as it needs to be free moving to open! if it is your wiper motor then no real cure for that either (other than remove it - for that smooth look!)

always fix the number plate on with double sided pads and if its the boot handle then you might wanna try sticking some felt underneath where the handle touches the bodywork and see if that cures it!!

they're all problems i've had in the past, sound deadening only covers the panels and gives them density, hard to stop rattles with it just keeps the bass contained within the car.
