6R 1.2 TSI 105PS 0-60Mph quicker than expected!

A few weeks a go i tested my cars 0-60mph acceleration to see how close i good get it to VWs time and i was pretty surprised with myself. I recorded a time of 8.6s! This seems way quickler than what VW claimed, almost whole second quicker. Im not sure if VW is displaying a conservative time for the 0-60Mph or my car was remapped when i got it. I bought it used from Cargiant. Of course i could also have had some uncertainties in my testing method since i just used an app that uses GPS, but i was wondering if anyone else tested their Polo 6R and compare our times!

Did you do more than one run? Was it completely flat? And what app was it, I want to test out my 1.6TDI!

I just did the one run, ill do more when i get my car back and yeah the road was completely flat.

I'm not claiming your 0-60 time not to be accurate, but an app that only works off GPS won't be 100%, especially when accelerating quickly, as it works off distance. I bought myself a little £10 OBDII bluetooth adapter type thing off amazon, and connected it to my phone, using 'Torque' (only android I think, there are loads out there for IOS). It can read all the cars instruments etc, and use the data for all sorts of things. I use mine mainly for live mileage etc, but it can record everything from torque curves to 1/4 times! Every time you stop, it will reset the timers, so you can measure everything automatically at once, (0-60, 0-100, 1/4 mile etc)
