Finally back from Poloshow / 5Country Tour ;-) (With Pics)

Post by Christian6N »

(This statement appears on uk-polos AND porka)
Good Evening all you folks out there!
First i wanna thank ...god for giving us all this very very good weather on Sat and Sun.
The weather on friday from dover to the Show.....awful...i have never seen such rain before....fastest level for the wipers, no light on the motorway and then stickers on the headlight...we´ve seen nearly nothing and so we needed 3hours for this distance from Dover to the Show. Never seen such rain before, never.
Secend i wanna thank Alex (Speedlaw) for driving together with me.
BTW Alex, greet to connie from me, thx.
We met in Belgium and then we are driven relaxed but speedy to calais to get a early ferry....one and a half hour after our booked one (4:15pm (CET))...
The food on the ferry....nah...don´t talk about it....P&O Food.....any Questions `bout it?*grrr*
BTW: Rob, so you still owe me Fish&Chips, right Pal? ;-)

So friday evening we arrived in the dark and when i saw all the ppl with their torches...i thought they wanna light us where we can set up our tents...but then i realized they just wanted to watch our cars....at 11pm in the dark.....crazy, realy crazy. And thanks for lightning us*lol*...but never mind. For what do i have got headlights? ;-)
So and on saturday when the show began i only met friendly and nice ppl on the show.
I dunno how easy it was for you all to understand me. But i think i could understand you all better than i have thought before.
I indeed survived 36hours on your island*loool*
Thanks Josh and everybody else who had to do with it for the whole BBQ, that was very very good, THX.
It was a very big community of single polodrivers and clubs, but all together were very nice and friendly to each other, very very good.
I think the whole Quality of the whole PoloShow was very very good the whole Time.
This Year i had to work till Friday 11:45am and on Monday i had to stand up at 5am to get ready for work...so i only had 4hours of sleep...but never mind.
So next Year i will plan it much more better and then i can stay the whole sunday perhaps to monday on the Show/the Billing Aquadrome to drive more carefully/slowly home.
After the traffic jam in belgium and after i broke up with Speedlaw after Ring Antweerpen my Speedopointer get stucked in front of the 140km/h mark (90mph) (not more because of the roofbars) and the motorways were empty....thank god again.

So like i said, i met a lot of nice and friendly ppl there on the show, and i am sorry that i left that early, but you all see....that was not too early....i saw a few vids from Sunday with the whole in the Polochain in front of the pavillion.....nah...never mind....you all took so much pics...it´s like i was there myself*lol*.
I will meet you all there again next Year on the Show or some of you in Austria at the worthersee..........you must get there. (the worthersepictures of this year you´ll find in the same folder as the PoloShow Pics)
@all the ppl who organized the whole show....steve millo and who else were doing that....that was a fully success....but that you already know.

And here are my 250 Pics on the Server/a friends computer in his cellar connected with the www via 768kbps-wire with „only“ 128kbps upload...so the more ppl watching the pictures the slower it all goes.
But for that the webspace is nearly infinity/as big as the HDD
And under a lot of the Pics (not under the Thumbs) are my comments, so watch it all. ;-)
A click on the thumbs opens the pic, a click on the Pic opens the same pic in 800X600 HQ.

And now good Night Dudes, and have a great Season 2004 over there. ;-)

Kind regards

It was really nice to meet you Christian.

I love your car and all your crazy electronics!!

Thank you very much for loaning us your POLO flag and the row of little polo flags... JaketheSnake has them now and will send them to you in his next parcel.

Your English was very good and I understood everything you were saying.
