Dismal failure.
Down on one side which could be a sticking wheel cylinder but we did all that just a few months ago.
Do the load adjusters play up, and can that cause imbalance?

Re: MOT rear imbalance
They generally behave. Could be a sticking shoe against the drum
Presume this is braking vs handbrake

Re: MOT rear imbalance
Believe it to be foot brake only.
If the compensators are generally good I'll start with the obvious.
Especially given that compensators are 80 quid!
Can they be stripped?

Re: MOT rear imbalance
yeah, you can easily strip the rear drums down and clean it all up. Scuff the shoes and drum lining with some course sandpaper. Bleed the rear brake lines too just in case there is air in the pipes.
Re: MOT rear imbalance
No, I mean can the compensators be stripped?

Re: MOT rear imbalance
Tried adjusting shoes, no difference.
Pair of new VW branded!!!! cylinders on their way (Ebay bargain)
Failing that it's time to cough for a compensator.
