Help on removing and replacing factory air box

Post by lincspoacher »

So I've just bought the K&N Apollo Intake system and wanted some help to remove the airbox on my 6C 1.4TDi.
I was thinking of removing it at the red line, and placing the new Intake & filter within the blue lines?
Any guidance or instructions would be much appreciated, thanks!

If I could share my 1cts worth, I would say that there would not be any benefit for you to fit these kind of filters. In fact, the drop in filtration power would harm your engine in the long run when dirt gets into the engine system.

Here is a video for your information.

Hi there,

So on attempting to remove the airbox, I noticed it is bolted to part of the engine by a rubber-covered bolt? Any suggestion on how to remove this? And also, am I able to just leave the water drain hosing? Cheers

Just lift with a soft touch :-)
And use a little clamp on the water drain tube to close it.....
