states the initial 1.0 car had 45 bhp.

the 8v is noticeably quicker than the 50bhp mpi engine - I've driven both and the 1.4 cruises on motorways where the 1.0L struggles. The torque must be quite a bit different.

How much Brake does the 1.9CL have?

it was a diesel!

I cant believe he booted it up soo close behind me! was a mad experience, cuz you just told me the 1.9 has ONLY 60 off brake!

I've got the 6n2 1.4 16 valver, only 75brake!

Either the person done summit which was madness, cuz he booted it sooooo far!

Or... he's changed da engine, OR, it's cuz i got a crappy automatic!

I NEED IDEAS! What the hell is the max a 1.9 diesel can push out?

OK Yes when the torque convertor is in slippy mode

but if it has a lock up facility in top it's not too bad....

Umm, i didn't understand a word you meant their!

Torque convertor in slippy mode? Whats that then?
Lock up facility? whats that?

the 6n2 i have is supposed to have 75BHP!

I'm amazed at what the hell he could've done that lifted it by 10+ bhp!
he mus'a spent a bomb on it too for that!

surely it's cos he has far more torque than you - if he used he gears right then I reckon he could keep up. maybe he was in the right gear and caught you unawares, so you took a while to get into the 75 bhp range?
