What a farce, there used to be the insurer who would not make a drama out of a crisis! As an Admiral policy holder, I'm really interested in all this as I'd doubt if they would look after me any better, just being sent a letter from them about not having correctly shown the correct "last year's premium cost" on this year's renewal, call me cynical, but giving the value of the premium given for that comparison, I'm preparing for jumping ship next year!

Edit:- but you would need to be a clever sod to beat these companies, I challenged my AA Gold renewal cost, that worked last year, worked again this year with a promise to give me a fair price again next year - where is the catch?

I think the only reason your getting messed about a little is because both parties are with admiral. im with aviva and im sure if i was in an accident with another aviva customer i'd get messed about too. It's because either way it will have to come out of the companies pocket. unfortunately greed and money has taken priority over everything nowadays. Hope everything gets sorted for you quickly, its not nice for anyone to be in that situation.

If you're paying a high price for a product, it's not unreasonable to expect to get good customer service. I can understand Ash6R's frustration with his insurer, and if I was in his shoes I would also be looking to walk away come renewal time.

Ash6R; there are plenty of other insurers out there who'll be happy to take you on as a customer at renewal. You don't owe any loyalty to your current insurer.

Yeah i'm probably going to try and insure myself with a specialist insurer for young drivers. Any recommendations post below :D
