Speaker Upgrades for 6N

Post by Crisis »

I've got a 6N Polo. Already fitted a Sub n Amp unit up (Sony Xplod)

Im looking at upgrading the door speakers and perhaps the tweeters if need be.

Just wondering what size the speakers are, so I can do direct replacements just take off the speaker grill to show the speakers off a bit.

Another thing... Im running on a 4x45W CD Player, Im not too bothered about what brand speakers I get (Sony, Alpines prefered) but what should I get?

Maybe £100-£130 for the door speaker upgrade. What sort of specs should I be looking for?

Cheers

6.5 inches

you'll be able to get decent components for 100 - 130 quid.

:) alpine are good.

Should get components and not Coaxial thats the right way round isn't it.

Well I found Alpine Components 6.5 Inch for btw £35 and £275. Lol. Im looking for something thats easy to fit, and doesn't require much if any taking door panels apart. I hate wiring. Lol.

Anyway...

Alpine: SPS-171A - 17cm components

Seem like some good kit, also get tweeters, which I already have (standard Polo ones) and bets of all they look cool as well.

What do ya think? Im not much of a know-all about speakers, only Subs. Thats why so many questions.

Any other suggestions?

To be honest with you, you gotta be spending £100+ on components to be able to get a fairly decent set.

By the way, all components come with the tweeters. It's why their called components. They contain your mid to high-range. And then you get 3-way components.

Seems I may need front speaker adapters? Well that website shows that anyway, but perhaps not.

Do you think those ones I picked out are good? Cause they look quality as well which I want.
