TPK Handsfree

Post by Hammy »

Hi,
We have a 2013 Polo wich be bought secondhand in 2014 with the above hands free kit already fitted which has worked well both our phones iPhone and Samsung Galaxy Prime and both phones used to automatically connect.

Then the automatic function seemed to stop working and was easy enough to just press connect and both phones were again found and worked through the handsfree.

One day it stopped working all together with the. Samsung which is the principal drivers phone and try as we may could not get it to connect with this phone 😩 but. Continues to work fine with the iPhone

We decided there must be a problem with the phone and thus when the Samsung came up for renewal recently we upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) as it appears to have a very similar Bluetooth system to the Apple after checking it out on gsmarena.com and thought our problems would be solved.

Wrong 😩

Try as we may we cannot get the Samsung to work properly, any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Think previous vw bluetooths of all kinds had trouble connecting to androids. Can't help with the phone bluetooth issue wise but upgrade wise the TPK kit sells for £85, so you can always get a newer parrot kit etc or a general radio upgrade;

RNS315 - £280-340 Built in sat nav and bluetooth - requires microphone

RCD330g - £120 from china and you don't get radio station names but you get carplay (some get android auto play too) and built in bluetooth

a lot of people go for the Pioneer SPD something that gives you bluetooth, car play, android play etc think they're £350
