You'll need the wiring loom, i.e. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Side-As ... 54202b14c7smg_shardul wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2017 11:40 amiichel wrote:Left and right Lane Change Assist radar from a Transporter T6.

Then you'll need a pair of lights for the mirror, i.e. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/OEM-pai ... 54202b14c7
But a LED or self made solution will work too.
Or make a wiring loom yourself
2x 4E0 972 713 12 pin connector
Brackets 7E0 937 147 B and 7E0 937 148 B
Push button Polo 6R PDC 6RU 927 122 WHS + connector housing 4D0 971 636 A
OEM way is with CAN isolation relay, i.e. 4H0 937 529 and 2 relays or 3C0 951 253 A and relay holder
Here is my Google Drive folder with the information. The installation took me only about 2 hours. Mental preparation and planning is always the most work.

Hi iichel. the pair of light assembly that you shared from aliexpress will fit the polo side mirror casing well? means have to cut the opening at the cover right? And hows the bracket for the radar inside the rear bumper? Custom-made?

Yes I had to cut a hole in the mirrors, but it works well and fits nicely. The mirror cover will fit as it was before.benzinkopf wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2017 3:50 pm Hi iichel. the pair of light assembly that you shared from aliexpress will fit the polo side mirror casing well? means have to cut the opening at the cover right? I bolted the radar brackets to the bolts that hold the rear bumper support.

thanks. would love to see more details on the operation. any further details i can refer to?
1) from my understanding, the system needs a button for on/off on the stalk.
2) then there’s green indicator inside the cluster.
3) brightness control menu? or it’s already communicated with RLS for the brightness? any further settings available from the MFA+?

Re: Lane Change Assist Radar left and right 7E0907566B 7E0907568B
To this specific setup, I can report from my own experience that any botton will do.
1 A short to mass is OK, I used the Sport Select button in my button cluster. The wire will connect a bridge to GND when pushed. There is no need for any specific button.
2 There is no green indicator in the Polo cluster. The operation of the system is acknowledged by both warning lights, left and right, lighting up briefly after button is pressed.
3 The brightness of the lights is operated by the setting of the light switch. The DRL setting will cause the lights to be bright, the dipped beam will slightly dim the warning lights.
VW SSP 396 will provide some information, but it is not specific to the system of the Transporter. It is in my Google drive, linked in the earlier post.

Thank you iichel.
btw
1. so switching on and off should be simple with push-on push off switch
2. yes. i know there's no indicator available, but i saw you posted somewhere that you have the side assist menu in MFA+?this is not for ON and OFF?
3. so with Auto Headlight switch, it will dim the warning light when the dipped beam in operation right?
Yes, i've been studying the 396 for quite sometimes. I wonder how easy for us to do the calibration for polo. unless it can be mounted the same level and angle as Transporter so no need to disturb the calibration of the radar.

No there is no side assist menu on the MFA+. This function is taken by the button. In DRL on, the indicators will be a bit brighter.
I did the calibration at my friendly VW dealer. They charged me only 40 euros, so that's reasonable.
