Clear POLO headlights!

Post by o c t a n i u m »

in.pro letter07.17.2002
According to the current letter from "in.pro" the headlight set will be presented at the Automechanika in Frankfurt!
The manufacturer will sell the headlights world-wide. Start of sale won´t be before October/November 2002. The price is not fixed yet but will be around € 399,-!

in.pro letter06.10.2002
We like to inform you, that we will use H7 instead of Xenon because of much lower costs for the customer.

in.pro letter06.03.2002
Headlights for Polo 6N:
Although big technical problems with the electrical wideness regulation (necessary for E-approval) we will present the new headlights at the Automechanika (September 17.2002 till September 22.2002 in Frankfurt). The price is not fixed yet but will be around 399, - EURO (because of tool costs of over 240.000 USD).

Back lights for Polo 6N/6N2:
We will make, against the result of the voting, crystal-clear lights and not the aluminium designed lights.
Because of technical problems, the aluminum design is at the time not realizable.

Where can I order these from? Does anybody know? Will they fit a playa? It looks like the same front end...

the 6N2 pics are the Mk5 lights, but the first post is the clear look lights being made by in-pro in Germany ( should be available soon). If the playa shares the same headlights as the ibiza, these won't fit I'm afraid, as it has larger lights similar to the polo saloon, look the same but they are different widths.

Hope this helps

You get these lights for the Audi A3 from hella. 8)
The sides are made from some plastic compound, so I should be able to reshape them.
I had a look at them in some glass box, they look like they will fit. Not shure about the dimesions, but I can trim it a little.
I photo shoped this to see how it will look like, what do you guys think?

they look like BMW style ones as well (no join between the indicator and headlight) - wonder if they'll fit the 6n?

I don't know, but these lights are nice and have the "egde/corner" needed for the classic, Wagon (Variant) and the caddy. The frontgrill does cover a small part on the inside of these units. Just like the orginal units:

I believe the polo saloons are wider than the hatchbacks. So the lights probably wont fit.

I got my crystal from Dubstyle on porka.

p.s Nice old thread
