Hi, I bought VW Polo TDI in October 2016, in India, and soon after VW recalled my vehicle for Software Update. I turned it down because i read that it did impact the power delivery.
Now, i've been relocated to Europe, and my bro took the car for service and VW updated ECU mapping of the car.
Once i'm back home, i'll definitely take the car on a dyno test to see if there is actually any difference in the performance, but if there is any decrease, can i get the map reverted back ?
will stage 1 remap or tuning box help?
I love my car and would love to get expert opinions to help me out here.
thanks ..
D

why not leave it as it is? the car is now better for the environment. less NOx than before. it's said that the update doesn't influence power and torque.

Yep, there is no harm in keeping it stock but, iichel wrote: Mon Feb 05, 2018 9:40 pm why not leave it as it is? the car is now better for the environment. less NOx than before. it's said that the update doesn't influence power and torque.
I might sound amateurish , i loved how the car delivered the power, it was punchy, but brother says that its more subdued now. (could be a placebo effect).
So i wanted to know if anyone of this forum feel the same thing ?

I had an update to my 1.2 TDI and if anything, the engine was running a bit less rough than before the update.

My petrol car had no 'pollution problems'
It has a spectacular 0 to 65 km/h.
