My WRMs are in a Seat Ibiza 6J (PQ25) and also used in the Skoda Fabia 5J. But you've mentioned the Jetta and the Amarok and after some research I found out that they have the same problem..

The new Ibiza 6P (MQB) WRMs do support auto folding with car lock and have the part numbers "6R0 959 801 DT / 6R0 959 802 EE" - but I suppose that there are the same problems on my Ibiza 6J (PQ25) as with the Polo 6C (MQB) WRMs "6R0 959 801 CE / 6R0 959 802 CJ" which won't support auto folding when locking the car in the Polo 6R (PQ25) either. (The "6R0 959 801 BD / 6R0 959 802 BF" can't be ordered any more for the Polo 6R and have been exchanged to "6R0 959 801 CE / 6R0 959 802 CJ" with loosing auto fold via car lock...)
Thank you for the link to the video - unfortunately PQ25 WRM can't be accessed via channel 42 separately and can only be reached at channel 09 as subsystem of the BCM. So there is no chance to change EEPROM values with VCP right now AFAIK.
