this is my first thread on this forum. I hope, that you don't judge me for any mistakes in this thread..
I've installed a Golf 7 GTI Steering wheel in my Polo 6R WRC. At first I got a BCM with the part number 7H0 937 090, where I had to rewire the horn from the slip ring. This solution worked fine till the update to the T6 7E0 937 090 BCM.
I've talked to iichel already about this problem and he told me, that this is caused because of the wiring of the T6 steering wheel. The slip ring doesn't have any space for the horn signal in the T6, so the signal get transported via LIN Bus. Also iichel told me, that one wire has to be routed to the MFS module.
I checked out the T6 wiring of the horn. But I don’t really understand, which wire has to be routed into the MFS.
At the T6 the horn is connected to the MFS module at T5u/4. The signal goes to the BCM with the LIN Bus.
At the Golf 7 wiring of the steering wheel the horn gets ground from T12k/7 at the slip ring. This goes from T1z/1 of the horn to T5k/1 at the J453 MFS module. The signal seems to go through the wire T1aa/1 at the horn to T12k/8 at the slip ring.
Does the T12k/8 needs to be routed to the MFS module? I don’t get, which pin at the golf 7 MFS module should be used..
I added the wiring diagrams of the Golf 7 and T6 according to horn, so you can follow my thoughts.
Thanks for the help and Greetings from germany.
I hope my english wasn't that bad at all.
