Hi guys
I am hoping somebody can help me. . . I have a 1.2tdi polo and when I click the lock button once on the key, all the doors lock as normal, when I press it for a second time the nsf door unlocks. It is driving me mad
I have had it on a scanner and it said intermittent issue with passenger lock. So I replaced the latch and the bugger is doing the same, but no code present now. Does anybody know how I can fix this without going to a main dealer
Thanks, Elisha

Re: central locking issue
This can be due to a number of things. A decent independent Vw specialist should be able to resolve this
was it a new genuine latch you used?

hi
yes it was a genuine latch that i got a technician in work to replace. No codes present now but still doing the same, ive also had a mechanic out saying hes probably going to have to check the wiring loom. Its really annoying me

Re: central locking issue
There is a known issue with the door loom on these. Get the wiring between the door and the car checked too for splits
Re: central locking issue
thanks for the advice, i am going to get somebody to have a look again tomorrow at the wiring loom. Are they expensive to replace?
Thanks, Elisha

I put another polo door on myn and it still does the same. Done a scan with a new scanner we got and got 3 codes, 1 of them being child lock (it wont spin either) i have 3 pics of codes, but they wont let me upload as the files are too large. I got;
1332 - passanger door ecu
3224 - childproof lock
3302 - feedbacb of passanger door closing status.
do you or anyone have any idea what can cause these? Im getting fed up with them now lol

Re: central locking issue
Can you get a scan done with VCDS? Those codes arent overly useful as they dont match the standard vag database
Re: central locking issue
i may sound dumb now, what is a vcds? i scanned it on a snap on diagnostic and nothing come up, but this new scanner produced the 3 codes

Re: central locking issue
Its proper VW diagnostics - www.ross-tech.com
There may be someone local with a copy who can scan it for you - facebook is a good place to ask.
It gives proper manufacturer specific codes rather than Pxxxx codes which are seldom useless for complex issue diagnosis
