Reseting the ECU

My car had the distributor replaced - cause of many problems
the diag machine was showing an Idle Control Parameter fault - after replacing the dizzy
would reseting the ECU fix this,
if so how is it done?

Disconnect your battery over night.

Cant hurt trying.
