Hi everyone!
I purchases my first car last September (2011, 1.2, 60k Miles), and it came with full service history.
I recently got a new job which meant that I went from driving the car 30 miles a day to only weekend use for the last 8 weeks.
I tried to start the car last week and it juddered and turn off, after an inspection from a friend it looks like the timing chain is gone!
Am I better replacing the timing chain or going down a second hand engine route?
Would love your opinions and what potential costs could amount to for each option!

Re: Help! Timing chain or new engine!
Without knowing the full extend of the damage, it's quite difficult to advise on the right course of action.

Many thanks for your reply!iichel wrote:Without knowing the full extend of the damage, it's quite difficult to advise on the right course of action.
As I’m pretty useless with cars, what would I need to look for to determine what route to go down?
Cheers!
