I’ve not had any issues with mine leaking. Sometimes the seals can dry out and become less flexible, which can result in water getting past the seal if it no longer makes good contact between the door and door opening. Sometimes the dried out seals will also make creaking noises when the rub against the door frames.

A possible cure might be to use a rubber lubricating product such as Gummi Pflege to restore the flexibility of the seal. Gummi Pflege is widely available on both Amazon and eBay;

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gummi-Pflege-R ... B007TNOQDI

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nextzett-Gum ... 3061353435

Alternatively, you could use the expensive VW equivalent; Krytox;

https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Genuine-VW-Vol ... 8efff7775b

I believe Krytox was originally developed for use on the rubber seals on VW Eos folding metal roof. There is a cheaper alternative, although it’s more expensive than Gumki Pflege;

https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/253747361282?c ... 30fff40585

Once applied, the effects of Krytox should last longer than Gummi Pflege. I’ve not used Krytox but I have used Gummi Pflege on creaking door seals and reapplying it every 6-9 months keeps the seals silent.

If a lubricating product doesn’t work, then it might be necessary to replace the seals, although I think I’d try the cheaper option first.

Krytox was initially designed to be used on O-ring seals, especially within fridge systems as it does not affect the fridge gases, any or all current gasses. It has found some other more useful applications though, but as hinted at, it is a bit expensive for this job, though strangely I do have a large container of it, well large in the sense that it is expensive! Used sparingly.
