Thank you all for your nice comments, I am really happy with the look of the car, it really caught the light in that picture!! My pupils will love it, they have been looking forward to this for a while now, some who passed before I got it are a bit gutted!!

Freshly coated Carbon Collective detail
Car feels nice with 115bhp, smooth and quiet, will take me a bit of getting used to after driving diesel for the last 7 years.
Did an hour of motorway driving, not much over 50 because it was slow moving and the average said 51mpg which seems good to me, be interesting to see what it returns during lessons, I'm expecting 30 to 35 over the course of time so anything above that would be a bonus!

Re: Polo AW Photo Gallery
Currently waiting on a Polo SEL 115 Limestone Grey with LED lights, Park Assist, Reversing Camera, Blind Spot, Cruise Control, Active Display & Folding Mirrors. Had ordered it with 4 year warranty but told no longer available. Order on 4th May, dealer update was production day of 08.10.18
Don’t mind waiting as I don’t do many miles now.
Current car is Mini Cooper, had 5 in a row but need 5 doors now and to be honest don’t need the poke of a cooper or a gti. (It was/is 0-60 in 8sec)
Have loved my Mini’s but I’m getting practical now I’m nearing 50.
Whilst I’m waiting my Dad snuck in and bought out of the showroom an SE 95hp in Orange with Parking Sensors, 17inch Minas wheels and rear smoked glass. Here’s some picks for you.
Really nice car to drive even as a 95hp engine. Looking forward to mine!

Re: Polo AW Photo Gallery
How good do the new polos look, regardless of colour or trim VW have done a fantastic job..... apart from the factory fiasco but at least eventually that should be rectified.
Re: Polo AW Photo Gallery
Agreed. I for one really like the “crease lines” they’ve added to this version. Overall increase in size is also what attracted me to buy one. I had considered swapping my Mini Cooper (3dr) for a (5dr) but that just doesn’t have the same rear door access or space like the Polo.paulrodgers7 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 8:41 pm How good do the new polos look, regardless of colour or trim VW have done a fantastic job..... apart from the factory fiasco but at least eventually that should be rectified.
Reviews have been great for the Polo and to be honest the Fiesta in this class is just boring.
The Mini Cooper I had ran really sweet as a 3 cylinder turbo, glad VW has gone down this route.

The LED headlights are a nod to the plus too.monkeyhanger wrote: ↑Thu Aug 02, 2018 1:44 pmIt's a plus, not that you can really see the differences externally except for the tinted rear windows.

Not necessarily defining features, they can be selected on a Gti.

I agree it will be a rare colour, which is nice I guess What I like about Reef Blue is that the red details really pop!Dan34 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 28, 2018 9:40 pm Not had a chance to clean mine yet due to the weather but here are a pictures after about 24 hours ownership!
Very nice Dan. Looks good in Reef Blue. If the previous generation Polo GTI is anything to go by, blue will one of the rarer colours for the GTI (my 2016 GTI is Blue) as most people seem to go for Red or White.
Enjoy your new car.
Can't wait to get mine delivered and see the colour in different lighting and weather, because it can look very different depending on the conditions.

Re: Polo AW Photo Gallery
I ordered my Polo 115 DSG plus a couple of other things on the 23rd May 2018. On the order form it gave an (estimated) collection date of 29th November 2018. I thought about 6 months "yep, I'll go with that".roywolfey wrote: ↑Tue Aug 07, 2018 9:12 pmThe LED headlights are a nod to the plus too.monkeyhanger wrote: ↑Thu Aug 02, 2018 1:44 pmIt's a plus, not that you can really see the differences externally except for the tinted rear windows.
The dealer has sent an email with a build week of week 45. So by their reckoning that's week starting Monday 5th November. So give it a week to go through the factory, another couple of weeks waiting on the dock for a ship, then another 6/8 weeks getting to this country.
As long as it docks in Grimsby, the Grimsby dealer is 300 yards from the docks. So I'm looking at mid to third week in January before I get my Polo. I think by then I'll tell them to poke it and risk loosing my £500 deposit.
Re: Polo AW Photo Gallery
it was the increase in size of this incarnation that drew me to it as well. But now I have one I think its a cracking car.Mint_tea wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 8:55 pmAgreed. Love my new polo! I see no one opted for the beats?! The stripe isn’t too bad in real life, the music system is amazing! And I got 4K off the list price
