I have zero technical or mechanical knowledge so I seek your opinions please. I’ve had a rear facing dashcam installed at Halfords today and it works fine.
However, once at home I’ve noticed where they have installed the cable and as you can see from the photos, they have lifted a small section of the rubber seal up. So, when it rains, water will get under that gap.
In your opinions, is this not an issue at all and the water will simply drain away, or is there now a risk of water ingress into the roof lining at the rear of the car?
Thanks in advance

I think that looks pretty horrible and amateurish. Why didn't they take the normal rubber tube that goes to the bootlid?

Back at Halfords now to have it rectified. The guy has come up with a different route for the cable that won’t interfere with the seal.
