Hard to say, it could be recharging the battery, the AC compressor, particle filter. about 900rpm isn't too bad though for the 1.2 TDI

No warning lights either toke it to vw they said it’s a charging issue!
Changed the battery still doing it.
Both the battery and the alternator is putting out about 14v.
Also the revs are slow to drop after taking for off the accelerator.

After taking your foot off the accelerator
Thought it was trying to regen the dpf but I got no lights on etc.
Just can’t seem to get rid of it.
