Polo GTI Boost Gauge?

Post by LawrenceDGraham »

Haven't posted on here for a while but got my polo stage 2 mapped with an Anti-Lag File and I was wanting too fit a boost gauge so I know when my turbo is at boost and too make sure am not running it too hard it's just for safety with running an Anti-Lag system. Anyone have a clue links with prices would be handy as well.

There surely are cheaper options, but if you want something that can match the main gauges nicely I recommend a NewSouth Performance gauge. They feature the same design as the factory gauges. I installed the R gauge with blue needle in my Polo and it looks good. For your GTI either the "White Boost Gauge - Golf Mk6" or "Red Line Boost Gauge - Golf Mk6 GTI" would probably be a good match.

I bought the LHD version of this vent holder for my NewSouth boost gauge: https://www.ebay.com/itm/VW-Polo-6R-UK- ... rk:20:pf:0

Back then (late 2017) that was the only gauge holder for the 6R I could find, except some South African guy's 3D printed DIY holder. The P3 wasn't available back then either (and way out of my budget anyway). It seems that a couple of other ones have been brought to the market since then.

Here's another one available as both LHD and RHD which seems to have the gauge angled slightly downwards, aiming it towards the driver's eyes without having to tilt the vent fully down. (I like that feature, but the fact that it has 3 horizontal bars instead of 4 like the factory vents makes it look less OEM): https://www.ebay.com/itm/60mm-or-52mm-a ... rk:18:pf:0

Here's yet another seller who does a 3D printed version, only listed as LHD though: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Volkswagen-Pol ... rk:17:pf:0

There is also a dual gauge holder for the center vents which completely blocks the vents, looks horrible in my opinion: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Volkswagen-VW- ... rk:13:pf:0

This is what you need - on the Golf!!

All we have is the blue economy gauges - what a pity.
