Yep, she said she likes it the way it is.... so hopefully she won't notice
The big plus with these wheel is the amount of caliper clearence you get. Which is why I asked about brakes. What sort of conversion do people do on these? Afterall this is for safety reasons nothing else
Well just looking at the minute, I know that disks and pads are not far off. So looking into what to do with the brakes. I have a set of 4 pots calipers sat here. Was posssibly going to looking at fabricating a bracket so I can mount the caliper onto something like a 280mm disk. Plus plumb in a larger master cylinder too. Possibly look at what to do with the rear... maybe move old front to rear? Don't know yet i've not had chance to look at the handbrake assembly yet.
Oh and the gold ones looked best just going to wait for the tires on the standard 14inch wheels to wear out. Then it would make sense to put these wheels on hopefully in time with the brakes needing doing too
you will have to machine some brackets, i made some for a mate of mine but it takes ages!! and you will have to use a high tensile aluminum or steel witch also requires diffrent tools and costs more. and unless you know how to machine it will cost you a fair bit!!!
I know that matey, allready produced a kit (including bracket) for the 200 that spaces out the orginal caliper so a 325+mm rotor can be used. Just looking into options. Do new Golf GTi disk mount onto the polo hubs.
